-seek options (skip in advance in a track) -duration of the song (duration bar) -music text scrolling (when a title of the track is too long the text scrolls so you can see the rest) -add in a cassette as an option (animated cassette) -add in a playlist like theme so we can select the songs -add a toggle/selection between the themes and if you have to hold the select button could you add in a countdown before it switches
maybe for themes you could look at the super gameboy as that has some borders that could make it like some themes
simple controls could be like how they are on an mp3 or on our phones with just the play and pause are together and the next and previous track

Does the pause button do anything different from the stop button?
The pause button keeps it at the song it was on when you hit pause but the stop put resets it to the first song in the queue
