With the physical release of the game fast approaching I am happy to announce that bundled with the release is an update to the game in general! All digital download updates and physical copies will be released at the same time. Keep your eyes peeled for the update, should be coming around late February!

I'd like to share with you some of the changes being made to the game software. After some extensive bug testing this release will realistically be the final build of the game. Feels crazy to say that and finally close the book on this story and move on fully to the next project.

Upgraded Dialogue System

One major change is the reworking of the dialogue. Much of the major dialogue takes place in a cutscene now. This allows more immersion and expression when playing. Since the game is focused around the narrative with light adventure elements baked in this felt like a natural next step.

This will highlight how "a cat & his boy" has many of it's roots in the visual novel genre.



This means all major characters now have a portrait, here's a taste of just a few.

Instruction Booklet!

Is it really a gameboy game with out a gorgeous instruction booklet?!

How is anyone supposed to know how to play without instructions ;)

For all digital copies a PDF will be included with the downloads. For Physical copies they will include a small zine style manual included with the game.
